Recovery after wisdom tooth extraction

Wisdom teeth are the final and third set of molars. These teeth blow up from the gums at the time of teen age and early twenties. These teeth are very useful when they are aligned properly. But in most of the cases wisdom teeth are not aligned properly and it needs to be removed from the dental system to recover from the pain and discomfort caused by it. Some of the factors that make the dental doctors take a decision of removing this type of teeth are misaligned, pain caused and affecting the surrounding teeth. Bleeding is one of the conditions that occur after the tooth extraction for several hours. In order to control the bleeding, place the piece of gauze over the tooth socket that is empty. Then bite the piece of gauze for about 45 minutes to give pressure to stop the bleeding. Even people can use the moistened tea bag as an alternative for stopping the bleed. Tannic acid present in tea helps in healing formation of blood clots. People should know about wisdom teeth headache before they undergo any surgery.  People can repeat the same process even if they find a small level of bleeding. Facial swelling is one of the conditions faced by the people after tooth extraction. The area from where the tooth was removed will be swollen. To reduce the swelling, people can place the piece of ice that is wrapped in a piece of cloth and place it over the area that gets swelling. They can do this once for every 10 minutes and later once for every 20 minutes. After dental surgery, people may feel the pain in the area from where the tooth was extracted. Dental doctors will provide prescriptions of medications to reduce the pain. Even the doctors will suggest having a liquid diet until they completely recover from the pain caused by the wisdom tooth extraction. They should also be advised to brush the neighbor tooth very gently to avoid getting pain on the tooth extracted area.
